Superintendent Hunt is looking for some best practices for enrolling students.
How do you identify any learning gaps for new students, especially with groups? What assessments do you use? Protocols? Screening Instruments? Timelines from Screening to Placement? Please comment and provide any links that you might have for easy reference.

Carbon 2 is using some of our ESSER 3 money to employ a certified teacher as a Grant Instructional Facilitator. She will prioritize addressing K-6 reading gaps, using mClass to screen and then progress monitor primarily Tier 2 students, as Title 1 will serve Tier 3 and Sped will serve IEP students per their IEPs. Tami Beebe Schwartz will be our Reading Specialist consultant who will help our person use the data to decide appropriate interventions, and also to help administer the interventions. We have 5 elementaries (with our 2 tiny rural schools included) and our Grant IF will serve all 5.
